Lead Came



Lead came is the softer metal channel that is used for the construction of large stained glass panels and windows such as those you might see in churches. Zinc came, brass came and copper came are often used as borders around the outside edge of large windows and panels and they are often located in strategically designed areas within the window to add strength and stability. Lead came for stained glass is available in many sizes and in both U channel (for borders) and H channel for interior pieces. Hobby came is very small and is used for sun catchers and very small pieces that do not require support.

Lead, zinc, copper, brass and rebar are sold in 6 ft. strips. When ordering any of these items, they may be cut in half (3 ft. pieces) or shipped as 6 ft. strips. See boxing charges for packaging fees. An additional shipping charge of $11.00 will be added to your checkout total if you choose to ship as 6 foot strips. UPS charges additional shipping for oversized items and the website is not capable of calculating these charges.
